Colin's studies in music began at the age of 3 as a classically trained pianist taught by Dora Levenstein, former Department Head of Piano and Organ of the Moscow Conservatory of Music. His studies continued through high school and college where he received full ride scholarships in music from Ohio State University and Arizona State University and he graduated with top honors with degrees in Biology and Piano Performance.
After completion of college studies, Colin moved to Southern California where he began his career in the music industry. Working as a producer, session pianist and vocalist--his versatility has led him to collaborate with some of the top artists in the industry such as; Frank Ocean (Island/Def Jam Records, 2 time Grammy Winner, 2013), Mac Miller (Warner Bros. Records), Tyler the Creator (Odd Future Records, Grammy Winning, 2020), IDK (Clue/Warner Records), Sampha (Young Turks; XL), music legend Quincy Jones, Sabrina Claudio (Altantic Records), King Mez (Warner/Chappell), Danny Gokey (Word Records, American Idol finalist), Roy English (Atlantic), Jordan Smith (Winner of the Voice, Season 9), Sofia Reyes (D'Leon Records/Warner), Garcia Bros. (Sony Records), Nikki Leonti (as Nikki and Rich, Warner Records), Natalie Grant (Curb Records), Meredith Andrews (Word Records), Greeley Estates (Tragic Hero Records), Calvin Nowell (Word Records), Cody Lovaas, Kyle Reynolds, Drew Wedlake (The Voice), Cali Morris (American Idol 21 Golden ticket winner) and many more. As a producer, Colin is a one stop shop--from drum programming, writing guitar parts, string arrangements, vocal arrangements/production, engineering/mixing, to creative horn arrangements, and songwriting--he meticulously crafts each track by writing every production piece himself. Colin employs some of the best musicians in the industry to record each element. His versatility spans the scope of the music spectrum.
